A little history about our funeral home. O.J. Beidelman purchased the Jennings Funeral Home in Panora in 1954 and in 1957, he expanded and opened a second funeral home in Guthrie Center. They were called Beidelman Funeral Home.

In August 2000, the Twigg family came together and purchased both the Guthrie Center and Panora funeral homes. Doug and Kathy made their home at the Guthrie Center funeral home and Curtis, Becky & their two daughters, Mathison & Morgan made their home at the funeral home in Panora.  Kathy, Becky, and Danielle play an important supporting role with the funeral homes, as they help answer the phones and the door if anyone stopped by the two funeral homes when Craig or Curtis are gone.  In October of 2010, Doug and Kathy's other son, Craig, joined the family business and made his home at the Guthrie Center funeral home.  Doug retired in 2012 and due to his Parkinson's no longer is able to help out with the funeral homes.
On March 3, 2017, Craig married Danielle Brown who is also originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Danielle is currently working at the Guthrie County Hospital as a Nurse and is also seen working along the side of her husband at the funeral home in Guthrie Center. They have a daughter, Jaycie Maschino, who is in the eighth grade in the Panorama schools located in Panora, Iowa. In the fall of 2017, Doug and Kathy moved to Panora, and Craig and Danielle moved to Lake Panorama.  Kathy is still able to help out when she can, with either helping deliver store cards in Guthrie Center or helping with visitations or funerals.  Becky continues to answer the phones in Panora and when needed for Guthrie Center.  She also helps out with visitations and funerals when needed.

While we offer affordable, quality merchandise with many options, service has remained foremost. The goal of the Twigg family has always been to lighten the burdens of people when they are at their weakest and to give them the extra support they may need.
