Obituary for Beryl Lee Shroyer

Beryl Lee Shroyer, 84, son of Beryl S. & Frances L. (Root) Shroyer, was born October 19, 1935 in Adel, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Beryl graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1957, he married Lorene Kay Foresman in Guthrie Center. To this union two children were born, Russell and Terry. He received his Business Degree from the Iowa State University. Beryl and Lorene lived in many places throughout the United States through the years, but Guthrie Center was always home. They became residents of the New Homestead in June of 2018. Lorene passed away on October 13, 2019.
Beryl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his son, Russell (Denise) Shroyer of Commerce City, CO; daughter, Terry of Byhalia, MS; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Ann Shroyer of New Mexico; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorene, and brothers Tom & Rex Shroyer.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
