John Feichtinger, son of Joseph and Ida Feichtinger, was born on a farm near Linden, Iowa on December 25, 1918 and passed away December 23, 2019, 2 days short of celebrating 101 birthdays. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Grace Assisted Living in Meridian, Idaho.

In addition to repairing his own equipment, John helped neighbors whose farm equipment needed a little attention. Farming took a good part of the day, but John made time to attend school band concerts, plays, and helping with 4-H projects.
After retirement, John and Elaine traveled extensively around the United States in their Avion trailer. Eventually settling in Austin, Texas in1991. Elaine passed away July 5, 2000. John married Mildred Smith, of Austin, Texas, in 2003.
