Obituary for Linda Kay Bradshaw

Linda Kay Bradshaw was called to the Lord on December 20, 2019. She peacefully passed away in her home with family by her side.
Linda Kay Spurling was born on April 8, 1945 in Indianola, IA to Lucille (Peggy) Spurling and Russell Spurling. She graduated in 1962 from Carlisle High School. Shortly after that she married the handsome town barber, Charles Bradshaw. They had their first child in 1964, Charles Raymond Bradshaw II. Baby #2 came shortly after in 1965, Kandi Jolinn Bradshaw. In 1972 the family moved to Yale, IA to make a new life on the farm. This was a new adventure for this little city girl. In 1973 they welcomed the final child into the family, Codi Ann Bradshaw. Yale is where they raised their 3 children on the farm. Linda was an active farm wife, helping with the hogs, raising a big garden and walking endless rows of beans. After the kids were raised, they moved to Eagleville MO in 1995 where Linda ran a wholesale gift business. In 2006 they moved to Linden Iowa to be closer to their kids and grandchildren again.
Linda was always busy, whether it be sewing, playing cards with friends or spending time with family. Her home was her pride and joy and always impeccably decorated. She was hands down the best pie and noodle maker around. You never went hungry at Linda’s house! She was a wonderful grandmother (mammy, memo and mammo) to her 11 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.
Linda was proceeded in death by her mother Peggy, father Russell, father-in-law Lowell, brother Russell, and grandson Austin. She is survived by her husband Chuck, her three children, Chuck of Jefferson, Iowa, Kandi Meinecke (Tom) of Panora, IA, Codi Ayers (Allen) of Casey, IA and her mother-in-law Rosalie (age 100) of Panora, IA.
Cards and memorials can be sent to Chuck Bradshaw, 25529 Amarillo Ave, Linden, IA 50146. Please join us for celebration of life open house at the Linden, IA Lions Club building from 1-4 PM on Sunday December 29, 2019.
